The NDA cone of silence means the victims can’t tell anyone of their ordeal. None of the clients I have assisted with sexual harassment and sexual assault cases were happy at having to sign an NDA. All wanted to tell their stories, or at least not be prosecuted for telling their friends, family or therapists about their experiences. It’s their right in a free and democratic society.
For example, Michael Bloomberg was skewered in the 2020 U.S. primary by Elisabeth Warren during a Democratic nominee debate when he refused to waive the confidentiality clauses of complainants against him.
