Consider that since 2014 business investment has declined by 3.1 per cent. If we exclude residential development and only look at investment in such things as factories and plants, investment is down 22.5 per cent, and investment in machinery and equipment is down 2.9 per cent. Simply put, Canadians have been suffering a dearth of business investment for almost a decade.
