This makes sense in principle; if someone has a positive antigen test, they are probably shedding enough virus that they could infect others.But what if that person is still testing positive by Day 6? The CDC is not asking for repeat testing after five days, even though a residual positive result would still imply contagiousness. All of this is further evidence of how difficult it is to avoid coronavirus transmission. Instead, people who wish to prevent infection and the possibility of long covid should ask others to test before seeing them.
