Sora is now available to ChatGPT subscribers at no additional cost.

OpenAI’s video generation model powered by artificial intelligence is now available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro users at no additional cost., Sora turns prompts into video content and since it was announced, the technology has advanced substantially. OpenAI says the model is significantly faster than what it showed off earlier this year and as such has named this release Sora Turbo. Sora will live on its own website –– rather than being bundled with ChatGPT on one page.

OpenAI goes on to warn users that Sora can generate unrealistic physics and struggles with “complex actions” the longer they go on.“All Sora-generated videos come with C2PA metadata, which will identify a video as coming from Sora to provide transparency, and can be used to verify origin.

Don’t get us wrong, the technology is impressive. The fact that a bit of code can turn text into a video that looks decent is impressive but the results Sora kicks out leave much to be desired. As we can see OpenAI still struggles when tasked with generating coherent text and in the first video people melt into each other as we’ve seen with other video generation AI.
