An Ontario doctor issued 168 COVID\u002D19 vaccine exemptions in six weeks. Not one met criteria for an exemption, regulators said
Hassell guilty of professional misconduct last November.
The college obtained an assessor, who reviewed 275 medical charts for people Hassell saw on six dates over six weeks. Of those 275 charts, 273 failed to meet the standard of practice with respect to “off-label” prescribing of ivermectin and COVID mask and vaccine exemptions.
Soon after it learned Hassell was providing virtual visits to people in and outside of Ontario through a website. The college hired investigators to make “covert” medical appointments, claiming they were seeking care for COVID-related issues. On his own blog, he circulated a theory that the pandemic was part of a “global plan to produce more illness,” control social behaviour and “to consolidate power to a select few.”
“Some of his tweets were anti-Asian,” the college said, including negative tweets about Canada’s chief public health officer, Dr. Theresa Tam. He “frequently tweeted about Dr. Anthony Fauci, calling him a ‘murderer’ and a ‘liar,’ among other things.'”
