Lars Mikkelsen makes his live-action debut as Thrawn in Ahsoka and faithfully brings to life the very same intelligent terror of the Grand Admiral as seen in Star Wars Rebels.
Thrawn has used this technique plenty of times in Rebels, and he also employs it in Ahsoka. In finding out that Ahsoka's former master was Anakin Skywalker himself, Thrawn's able to draw upon the time he spent working alongside Anakin in addition to when he served Darth Vader. This means that Thrawn has full access to it, and as a survivor of Order 66 himself, there's no doubt Grogu has plenty of information stored in that database as well.
Will Thrawn Use Grogu Against Din Djarin ? It's inevitable that Thrawn will come to see Din and Grogu both as adversaries, whether it be in The Mandalorian season 4 or in Dave Filoni's upcoming The Mandalorian-era movie. When that happens, Thrawn could use this information about Grogu that he has access to against the duo, especially considering how much he would be able to reveal to Din about his own son that he didn't know before.
No matter what Thrawn chooses to do with the information, it's a chilling thought to know he more than likely has access to it. All that's known about Grogu and his past has been revealed from flashbacks and what he managed to tell Ahsoka and Luke, and each glimpse at his past has been dark and dismal.
