One South Africa (OSA) Chief Activist Mmusi Maimane and the residents of Prieska in the Northern Cape held a march against what they call illegal power grab by the African National Congress in Siyathemba Local Municipality.
The Siyathemba Community Movement an independent community organisation affiliated to OSA, won 40% of the vote during 2021 Local Government Election.
SCM is accusing the ANC of hijacking power from the people, after its councillor was allegedly barred from attending council meetings.“Today we are in the community of Prieska to really fight against the capture of the municipality. South Africans have suffered long enough without services. In the local government elections, the community of Prieska voted for change.
