Detectives are investigating after one person was fatally shot and another was hurt at a shooting in Prince George's County.
One man is dead and another is in stable condition after a shooting in Prince George’s County on Friday morning, police said.
The homicide happened around 2:15 a.m. in the 1000 block of Balboa Avenue in the unincorporated section of Capitol Heights near the Maryland-District border, police said.Police responded to a home for a report of a shooting, and when officers arrived, they found an adult male in the road with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
Police said that another person was found shot inside the home and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified the victim as Neeko Dukes, 21, of Washington.
