The number of coronavirus deaths in South Africa has risen by one to 87.
"This is in response to the government of the Republic of South Africa’s request to the government of Cuba to offer us assistance and medical personnel support comprising of infectious diseases specialists, to support South Africa in its efforts to deal with COVID-19," the department said.
"The strong social and political solidarity and support that exists between the two countries have been seen in various development programmes.
