The incident occurred at the intersection of Wolfe Road and Iverness Way

A collision blocks away from Apple headquarters left one person dead, according to a Sunnyvale police department announcement on Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred at around 11 p.m. on Sept. 8 at the intersection of Wolfe Road and Iverness Way and involved one vehicle. Police said that the pedestrian was brought to a San Jose hospital before being pronounced dead after sustaining “major injuries.” Police said the driver of the vehicle involved in the incident is cooperating with authorities and it appears no alcohol or drugs are involved.
