Police responded to the 10000 block of Pearmain Street about 11:35 p.m.
OAKLAND — Gunfire in East Oakland on Tuesday night ended the life of a 49-year-old man, police said.
Authorities did not identify the man early Wednesday, pending the notification of family members. Police said he was in an Oakland resident who lived in the area of the shooting. Officers responded about 11:35 p.m. to the 10000 block of Pearmain Street and found the man wounded and down, police said. He died at the scene.Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to an arrest of the suspect.
