Specialist forensic officers are at the scene and a police cordon is in place
One man has died and five others were injured -including one who is said to be in a 'life-threatening condition' - in a horror blaze. The fire broke out around 2.30am on Sunday morning on Warrington Road in Wigan.
A woman who lives nearby told the MEN her family were awoken to the sound of screaming. They then checked the doorbell camera to see flames ‘billowing’ out of the top of the house. Tragically, a man died in the blaze. Police said five others were hurt, with one person in a 'life-threatening condition'. Officers said their 'thoughts were with the family affected'. An investigation is now underway to determine the cause of the blaze.
