“It won’t surprise you that our system worked fine. It was the integration with the federal system that caused the problem,” she said. “So typical, isn’t it?”
“We can confirm that the central technical infrastructure of the Alert Ready system, Canada’s national public alerting system, worked properly and as designed during the test in Alberta,” an Alert Ready spokesman stated in an email to Postmedia. “We recognize the disruption these multiple alerts caused Albertans and are addressing this issue as quickly as possible to ensure the system works as intended so we can keep Albertans safe during an emergency,” the statement reads.Article content
