BREAKING: Biden says he'll visit East Palestine 'at some point'
Though Biden has deployed resources from multiple federal agencies to impacted counties in Ohio and Pennsylvania, the White House has repeatedly declined to state if the president has expressed any desire to visit Ohio himself.Biden briefly addressed the issue shortly after attending Senate Democrats' weekly lunch on Thursday.
Reporters proceeded to ask White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for clarification on Biden's remarks, but she again declined to preview a visit. "As you know, when the derailment happened on February 3, within hours, we had folks on the ground from the EPA, making sure that we were dealing with this chemical spill, and since then, we have had a multi agency reaction to this and operation on the ground, making sure that the community and the response team was getting what they needed to get back on their feet and to make them whole.
