The Ohio State Buckeyes have stacked some impressive wins this season.

on Saturday in a game that could raise a few upset-hungry eyebrows, but the Buckeyes have already showed poise in big games while dominating against inferior competition. This is recipe for success, especially if you're trying to impress the CFP committee with ranked wins and blowout victories.

The Buckeyes have done both this season, with big one-score wins over then-No. 9 Notre Dame and then-No. 7 Penn State and double-digit wins over the other five unranked opponents they've faced. This is a major reason college football analyst Joel Klatt thinks the Buckeyes have a better resume than No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Michigan.."They’ve got what now is the best resume in the country. A couple of top 10 wins, one on the road over Notre Dame, now against Penn State.

"Penn State is still a really good football team, folks," Klatt said."There’s no doubt about this in my mind. And the thing that I think that they feel so good about the Buckeyes is that they won both of those games in a manner in which people were questioning whether they could do it or not, which are two slugfest low-scoring, defensive-oriented, run game-oriented, toughness-oriented.

Winning out in the regular season, which of course would hypothetically include a win over Michigan in the final week, could potentially secure the Buckeyes a CFP spot based off record and resume alone, regardless of whether or not they win the Big Ten Championship. Just look at last year. Coach Ryan Day and Co. obviously want to win conference championship, but the Buckeyes have provided themselves with some cushion in the event of a loss due to their impressive resume - one that could only get better by regular season's end.Copyright ABG-SI LLC.
