Ohio State football wants to play two tight ends more in 2023.
Ohio State coach Ryan Day said last week Scott is “the best version of himself.” Scott said that came from a wholistic approach to improve his “mind, body and soul.” Bailey saw the same from his fourth-year converted receiver.
“And then just maturity wise, Gee Scott’s a graduate of The Ohio State, right? How cool is that? He graduated a week ago, is one of our leaders. So off the field, he’s checking all the boxes.” “He looked great about 25 minutes ago,” Bailey said. “He cut a huge pass downfield for us, popped back up, jogged back and picked up a defensive end one-on-one in pass pro.
Bailey’s relatively small room had four players achieve Gold status — the highest tier — in the summer workouts. That included Iron Buckeye designee Stover, Scott, Royer and walk-on Patrick Gurd.
