Ohio State football is making a coaching change in one spring sport after 12 seasons.
Ohio State fired coach Kelly Kovach Schoenly after 12 seasons on Monday. She recently completed a 30-21 season, including tie for sixth place in the Big Ten Conference standings at 12-11.
Kovach Schoenly went 367-226-1 and advanced to five NCAA Regionals during her tenure. This year’s 64-team NCAA Tournament field included four current Big Ten programs — Indiana, Michigan, Northwestern and Penn State — as well as three who will join this summer: Oregon, UCLA and Washington.
