Official: Osimhen Finally Seals Napoli Exit
The Nigeria attacker has joined Turkish giants Galatasaray on a season-long loan, with no obligation to buy the player at the end of the term. It is understood the striker's salary will be fully paid by the Istanbul-based club for the season, while it has also been said that he has requested a break clause in his deal.
This would reportedly allow the player to part ways with Galatasaray if a top club comes knocking during the January transfer window. This comes after the player pushed hard for a move away from Napoli, resulting in the Italian side reportedly excluding him from their squad list for the season and taking the No. 9 jersey off him.
As part of the negotiations for the loan deal, Osimhen reached an agreement with Gli Azzurri for his release clause to be lowered to €75 million . The Super Eagles star has made 133 appearances for the Italian outfit to date, bagging 76 goals and 18 assists, and will be hoping to deliver some stellar performances as he embarks on his new journey in Turkey.
