OFFICIAL: Man Utd confirm 1st 24/25 signing
The Red Devils have officially announced that they have secured the services of Netherlands international Joshua Zirkzee, purchasing him from Serie A side Bologna . It is understood the forward completed a medical and had a one-on-one meeting with manager Erik ten Hag on Friday, before signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.It is believed his transfer fee will amount to a total of €42.5 million , which will be paid to Bologna over the course of three years.
Zirkzee is a product of Bayern Munich's youth system, and had loan spells at Parma and RSC Anderlecht before securing a permanent move to Bologna in 2022. In the 2023/24 campaign, his second season with the Italian club, the 23-year-old made 37 appearances across all competitions, netting 12 goals and providing seven assists for the Serie A side.
