Official: CAF Issues Statement After Referee Attack
CAF has issued a statement regarding the attack on a match official in a Congo Cup match between OC Renaissance and Tanganyika.
The statement reads:"The Confédération Africaine de Football has strongly condemned the attack on a match official during the domestic match between OC Renaissance and Tanganyika."CAF has called on Fédération Congolaise de Football-Association to take strong action in accordance of its rules against the perpetrators to deter future similar incidents and to protect referees at football matches.
