edition of the prestigious tournament will now be moved to the following year.The tournament was originally scheduled to played from 23 June to 23 July 2023, but will now kick off January 2024 due to concerns about the heavy floods expected in the West African country at that time of year.CAF president Patrice Motsepe confirmed that the decision was made on Sunday by the CAF Executive Committee after a discussion took place in Morocco.
Motsepe added that he is confident in Ivory Coast's ability to host the tournament and the infrastructure that is available."I am happy and impressed with the infrastructure put in place by Ivory Coast in readiness for the tournament and I am sure they will host a very good tournament," he added, per
