Off-duty Durban cop guns down girlfriend, is shot dead by metro police responding to incident
An off-duty KwaZulu-Natal police officer fatally shot his girlfriend at her workplace on Florida Road, Durban , early Tuesday morning. his girlfriend at a Florida Road restaurant in Durban on Tuesday, and was then shot dead byPolice say the motive for the woman's killing is unknown at this stage, but domestic issues cannot be ruled out.
Netshiunda said the information at hand pointed to the off-duty police officer having gone to his girlfriend's workplace and opened fire on her. The woman was declared dead at the scene, while two other people sustained gunshot wounds during the incident. Netshiunda said Metro Police officers who were patrolling the area witnessed the incident and responded.Police said the motive for the woman's killing was unknown at this stage, but domestic-related issues could not be ruled out.
