Odysseas Vlachodimos will comfortably win the battle to be Nottingham Forest's first choice goalkeeper after his solid showing on debut against Aston Villa.
"I don't know if Forest have two number ones. I think at this point Vlachodimos will become the number one. If you look at his career, he's played for Stuttgart and Panathinaikos. He's made over 150 appearances for Benfica, some of which were in the Champions League and I think he has 35 caps for Greece," he said.
"I like that he was unfussy and nothing seemed to faze him. The arrogance of a keeper is fine but it can be distracting. Goalkeepers who are overly active can be a distraction to defenders. Benfica's relatively recent goalkeepers include Manchester City and Brazil star Ederson, former Inter Milan stopper Julio Cesar and Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak.
