A pint of Guinness carried a British marathon champion on a historic run.
Robert Pope, 44, ran 215 kms from Galway City, where he had his pint, to Dublin, where he had another, in 23 hours and 39 minutes.that he only came up with the idea about two months ago, and then decided to raise funds for the World Wildlife Foundation while doing so.
“But nobody ever posts anything about failure anywhere. You see a lot of people posting and if they have failed at something they’re like ‘I’m absolutely gutted because I didn’t succeed’, but they did succeed because they gave everything they had to get there.”Article content
