The Church of the Holy Spirit in Heidelberg, Germany, has been hosting a service titled the 'Anti-Hero - Taylor Swift Church Service' in an effort to entice young people to visit
In a quirky twist that's got everyone talking, a 600 year old church has turned up the volume on Taylor Swift's chart-toppers, creating a 'Taylor Swift Anti Hero church service' that's as unique as it is divine. As Taylor Swift's Eras tour takes the globe by storm, her fans affectionately known as Swifties are finding creative ways to sprinkle a bit of Taylor's sparkle into their everyday lives.
"The Church of the Holy Spirit has always been a place of encounter and exchange. That's why a pop-music religious service fits so perfectly," explained Pastor Christof Ellsiepen to DW. "With it, we are giving space to the questions and issues that occupy the younger generation." In particular, he cited the song 'Soon You'll Get Better' which was specifically written for the singer's mother as she battled cancer, before explaining how many attendees had "tears in their eyes" as they listened to it.
