Former Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew told top lawmakers that it's critical the Senate confirm President Biden's nominees to the Fed.
Senate Republicans, who are blocking the nomination of Biden Fed nominee Sarah Bloom Raskin, reiterated their opposition in a separate letter to Biden. Failure to do so, he wrote in a letter sent Wednesday, could risk damaging the nation's economic recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic as well as the financial security of American families as rising prices eat away at their savings.
