An Oakland High School player was injured Friday night on a punt return in the second half.
OAKLAND — An Oakland Athletic League high school football game between Castlemont and host Oakland on Friday night was called off midway through the third quarter after a player on the home team suffered an injury that required emergency medical attention.
Firefighters and EMTs were called to the school located at 1023 MacArthur Blvd. but took a while to get onto the field because of vehicles that were blocking entry points, Kharroub said.
