Nvidia was the stock in the spotlight for Thursday, after a strong quarter.
Nvidia Corp.‘s shares NVDA, +2.06% jumped 8% after the graphics-chip maker late Wednesday reported a 141% surge in data-center sales and record results, while shares of AI-rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc. AMD, -7.58% and third-party semiconductor foundry Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. TSM, -1.22% both rose 3% following Nvidia’s results. ASML Holding ASML, -3.48%, the microchip equipment maker, saw its stock rise by 2%.
Shares of Autodesk Inc. ADSK, +2.51% jumped 5% following a fiscal second-quarter report of better-than-expected revenue and earnings.
