NPA charges Zuma backer and MK Party leader Visvin Reddy with inciting violence
uMkhonto weSizwe Party leader Visvin Reddy will appear before the Chatsworth Magistrate's Court on Wednesday after he threatened violence should the IEC and the courts take unfavourable decisions against former president Jacob Zuma
News24 has confirmed that he will be charged with contravening the Riotous Assemblies Act 17 of 1956 for inciting violence when he claimed that there would be"riots like you have never seen in this country" if the court rules against the MKP and Zuma. In a video that went viral, Reddy is recorded to have said:"We are sending a loud and clear message. That is: these courts are sometimes captured. If they stop the MKP there will be anarchy in this country. There will be riots like you have never seen in this country. There will be no election. No South African will go to the polls if the MKP is not on the ballot."South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
