Orrell left the Office of Healthcare Professionals Recruitment in July but neither he or the government ever explained the reason for his departure. "I want to thank Dr. Boutilier and Mr. Beaton for taking on this important work. Dr. Orrell's experience will also make a big difference in helping Cape Breton University train more health-care professionals to work in Cape Breton and across Nova Scotia."Former deputy education minister Cathy Montreuil is leaving the civil service and returning to her home province of Ontario.
Rosalind Penfound, a former provincial deputy minister, will serve as interim deputy education minister, and recruitment for a permanent deputy minister will soon be underway.
