Christine White says she hasn't been able to return to work since January due to pain in her joints
A Nottinghamshire woman who had her Covid-19 booster jab in January wants to know why she was left with severe joint pain after getting the vaccine in January. Christine White, 47, has worked within the NHS for 21 years, before she had to go on leave for over 10 months due to her condition.
Christine described that, at first, she started feeling ‘freezing cold’ the day after her vaccine, which was followed by the constant aching that she has felt in her body ever since. She said: “My last sick note says ‘arthralgia post coronavirus vaccine awaiting investigation’. “I want to get it sorted, I was perfectly all right before I had the jab. People keep saying ‘you're in pain’. I know I'm in pain, but I want to know why. I want it in black and white why I'm in pain.”
She currently receives £84 a week as her Employment and Support Allowance , which is available for people with a disability or health condition that affects their ability to work. The woman continues to attend her pain clinic sessions as well as doing at home exercises prescribed by her physiotherapist.
