Emergency services are responding to a ‘major incident’ in Nottingham this morning.
Multiple roads are closed in the city centre with police and fire services advising people to avoid the area. The nature of the incident is not known at the moment but Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said it has ‘multiple fire engines’ at the scene.Nottinghamshire Police said: “Officers are currently at an ongoing serious incident.
“The following roads are closed- Ilkeston Road, Milton Street, Magdala Road, Maples Street, Woodborough Road from junction of Magdala Road into the city, Maid Marian Way junction of Parliament Street. Updates to follow.” At 5.50am, Nottingham’s tram service said: “Due to a major Police incident in the city centre, we have had to suspend all services.”
