Latest Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive as the Reds are reportedly set to complete deals to sign defenders Nuno Tavares and Murillo
Previous reports have claimed that a potential deal to sign Arsenal left-back Tavares had been revived. The Reds have been looking to replace Renan Lodi who left at the end of his loan spell this summer.
It has also been reported that ‘negotiations’ were taking place to also bring Brazilian centre-back Murillo to the City Ground before Friday's transfer deadline. The window closes at 11pm in the UK. And now transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has posted on X that Tavares will undergo a medical at Forest on Tuesday. Romano said: "Nuno Tavares to Nottingham Forest, here we go! Deal agreed with Arsenal on loan until June 2024. Understand loan fee will be bit higher than £1m plus £12m buy option.The Reds have signed five players so far this summer. Andrey Santos signed on loan from Chelsea whilst Ola Aina, Anthony Elanga, Matt Turner and Gonzalo Montiel have also joined after Chris Wood's loan move was made permanent.
