Sikhumbuzo Notshe is set to start a new chapter of his rugby journey in France after bidding farewell to the Sharks.
Notshe was among 14 players – including flyhalf Curwin Bosch and wing Aphiwe Dyantyi – leaving the Sharks at the end of the season.
the Springbok loose forward is on his way to join Bosch at Pro D2 club Brive, who are driving for Top 14 promotion next season. Brive have already confirmed the signings of both Bosch and former England loose forward Courtney Lawes, a recent Premiership title-winner with Northampton Saints. Notshe’s contract was not extended with the loose forward being linked to the Stormers, but a return to Cape Town was dismissed by John Dobson.
The 31-year-old will be hoping that the move to France breathes new life into his career, after making just seven starts for the Sharks in all competitions this season.SA Rugby should red card Kiwi tackle madnessOde to World Cup finalBoks need to make mentality adjustmentFive key areas the Boks need to dominate for first victoryFrom the mag: Foreign Favourites
