Despite a 48-20 win over 10th-ranked Notre Dame the bowl projections for the Irish are still spotty
Notre Dame earned a huge victory this weekend when it blasted rival USC by a 48-20 score. It gave the Irish a victory over an undefeated team that was ranked 10th in the country.
ESPN's Kyle Bonagura has the Irish slated to return to the Gator Bowl, where they are projected to play the Florida Gators. Notre Dame and Florida have not played since Jan. 1, 1992 when the Irish beat the Gators 39-28 in the Sugar Bowl. CFB Network also has Notre Dame slated to play in the Holiday Bowl, but they have the Irish matched up against Utah. Notre Dame and Utah last played back in 2010, a game the Irish won 28-3. Notre Dame has never played in the Holiday Bowl.
