20-year-old Vivian Jenna Wilson, formerly Musk, has responded to her father, Elon Musk’s comment that she was “killed” by the “woke mind virus,” for coming out as transgender and undergoing gender-affirming care.
“I think he was under the assumption that I wasn’t going to say anything and I would just let this go unchallenged. Which I’m not going to do, because if you’re going to lie about me, like, blatantly to an audience of millions, I’m not just gonna let that slide,” she said toMusk shares Vivian with ex-wife Justine Wilson. Vivian was born as Xavier and has a twin brother named Griffin. After turning 18, Vivian changed her gender, name and took on her mom’s maiden surname.
Musk claimed that he only agreed to sign the papers that gave Vivian permission to undergo gender-affirming care because he was told she “might commit suicide” if he didn’t.
