Northern Ontario OPP sergeant charged with criminal harassment
An OPP sergeant with the West Nipissing detachment has been charged with criminal mischief. He was arrested by Greater Sudbury Police on Nov. 2, 2022.
Sgt. Andre Chenier, 50, was arrested and charged with criminal harassment, said GSPS spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn in an email. “As the matter is currently before the courts, no further information will be provided,” she stated. Sgt. Chrystal Jones from the West Nipissing OPP detachment told Village Media that Chenier was placed on modified duties after the charge was brought against him, but he has since taken an unrelated leave. No further information was provided.
