The Manchester United defender became the fourth Northern Ireland player to achieve the 100-cap honour following in the footsteps of Jennings, Aaron Hughes and Steven Davis when he lined out against Greece last September. "It was great.

He is now back at Old Trafford again as his career has gone full circle, but he revealed he did contemplate his future as he struggled with his fitness with former club Leicester City's last season. "No, definitely . I think I went through a stage last year where you start thinking 'maybe this is it coming to an end'.
