House prices in Northern Ireland fell for the first time in three years at the end of 2022, figures show.

House prices in Northern Ireland saw their first quarterly fall in more than three years in the final quarter of 2022.However, prices were still more than 10% higher compared to the same period in 2021. There was turmoil in the UK mortgage market in the final quarter of 2022 after the disastrous "mini budget".
The cost of mortgage borrowing jumped as financial markets anticipated that the Bank of England would raise interest rates sharply to counter the inflationary impact of extra spending in the mini-budget.
