Spring is in the air.
Forecast on April 27, 2024CLEVELAND, Ohio - A warm front lifting through Northeast Ohio early Saturday morning has been the focus for a quick round of showers and storms and opens the door for much warmer air these next few days. Temperatures soar into the 70s on Saturday, reach the 80s on Sunday, and potentially challenge record highs on Monday. However, the warmth does come with the opportunity for showers and storms.
Once the initial round of rain passes, plenty of dry time will be seen with breaks in the clouds. However, there is still the opportunity for a few new showers and storms to pop later this morning and into the afternoon. A south to southwest breeze between 15 and 20 mph with occasional gusts up to 35 mph can be expected throughout the day as high temperatures climb to the mid to upper 70s.
A scattered shower or storm remains possible Sunday afternoon, primarily for locations near and along the lakeshore, due to a cold front hanging over Lake Erie. High temperatures reach the low to mid 80s. Showers linger into Tuesday morning then exit Tuesday afternoon. While temperatures will be cooler compared to Monday, they still reach the mid 70s which is 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.
