The weekend finishes rain-free, but another weather system is already lurking.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Showers and thunderstorms from Saturday have long since pushed out of Northeast Ohio as the sky cleared overnight. However, patchy fog developed over the damp ground in their wake this morning. The fog will lift shortly.
A mostly sunny day is in store with high temperatures climbing to the upper 80s this afternoon. Humidity will be a bit lower than it has been in previous days. On Monday, expect a partly cloudy sky with dry conditions to start the day. A cold front slowly sliding through the area may spark a couple showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours. These have the potential to produce locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds. High temperatures reach the upper 80s again.
More showers and storms are expected on Tuesday with temperatures staying near 80 degrees, if not falling to the 70s during the afternoon. An extended dry stretch sets up from Wednesday through Saturday with a decent amount of sunshine each day.
