Anchorage police have responded to assist Alaska State Troopers with a motor vehicle collision that has closed the northbound lanes of the Glenn Highway near the Old Glenn Highway.
Troopers spokesperson Tim DeSpain said Friday that there were seven vehicles involved in the collision.
“People were reporting bumps and bruises but there does not appear to be any serious injuries,” he said via email. “Roads are slick today and people should drive cautiously.” According to DeSpain, the call for the collision came in just before 1 p.m., and the road was reopened by just after 2 p.m.Correction: This article has been updated to correct the number of vehicles involved in the collision to seven. The Matanuska-Susitna Borough Department of Emergency Services previously reported it was six vehicles.
