Passengers are being urged to plan any train journeys
Rail passengers in West Northamptonshire are being urged to plan any train journeys over the Easter bank holiday weekend ahead of engineering works taking place on the Euston line. The warning comes as families across the county prepare to make the most of the four-day weekend.
The railway, which serves Northampton, Rugby, and Long Buckby , will be providing a bus replacement service taking passengers to Bedford. From there they can use other train operators to get to London St Pancras. Rail replacement buses will be in operation between Milton Keynes Central and Bedford and Milton Keynes Central to Potters Barr via intermediate stations. Valid train tickets to and from London Euston will be accepted by East Midlands Railway and on Govia Thameslink Railway between Bedford and St Pancras during this time.
For those travelling from Northants at this time, take the train to Milton Keynes and then the bus replacement service to Bedford. From there, you can use your LNR ticket on any EMR train into St Pancras. Or vice versa if travelling to Northants.
