Wardens discovered the pile of rubbish on the street

A Northampton man refused to pay his fine after leaving out rubbish bags three days before they were due to be collected. During patrols on Monday, 23 May, West Northamptonshire Council Neighbourhood Wardens discovered the pile of refuse sack on the footpath outside the terraced properties in Brook Street.

He was then charged with depositing litter at a place to which section 87 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 applied and pleaded guilty to the offence at Wellingborough Magistrates Court.
