Khalilullah Yousuf, 34, allegedly raised and transferred money to a “facilitator” for the Islamic State and was arrested by Canadian police Wednesday.
A 34-year-old North York man is among four people charged in the United States on Thursday with an alleged plot to fundraise and send money in support of the Islamic State terrorist group.
The Americans allege that Yousuf was part of a group chat involving “supporters of ISIS and other groups that adhered to similar violent jihadist ideologies.”
