When agents searched his home on April 17, they found bomb-making materials and a handwritten letter labeled “Manifesto.” If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison “The defendant exhibited several indicators of potential violence: a fascination with mass shooters, an obsession with weapons, and hatred toward a protected class,” U.S. Attorney Leigha Simonton said. “What’s worse, he had allegedly progressed from ideation to planning and preparation. In apprehending Mr. Calderon, we may have averted mass tragedy.”
