The Lib Dems have comfortably held North Shropshire, enjoying another swing in the vote to build on their by-election win in 2021.
North Shropshire was the only constituency in the county not to be held by the Conservatives going into the election, following Helen Morgan's victory for the Liberal Democrats in December 2021.
Mrs Morgan finished with a majority of more than 14,000 votes, compared to her near-6,000 majority last time which came last time.Helen Morgan has won North Shropshire again Thanking the voters, she said:"Thank you for talking to me about your lives and your communities, for sharing your experiences and your worries and your hopes for the future.
"I've spoken to families and pensioners who have struggled to make ends meet, small business owners at the heart of the local economy who need your support, and I've met hundreds of people who are waiting for weeks to see a GP or an NHS dentist, or have a traumatic experience with our underresourced accident and emergency care service.
"People of all walks of life have been taken for granted and let down again and again by an out-of-touch Conservative government, but tonight they have made their views clear."
