Longtime North Shore coach Allison Campbell thinks she has"a very special team" in this year's Lady Mustangs.Simran Williams hasn’t been happy about her offensive production lately on the hardwood.
“I knew I had to come out and have a big game for us in order to win,” Williams said. “We just never gave up, because we have been down before, and we knew that they were going to try and come back. We had our mindset ready for that.”Both teams came in 8-1 in district play. Now North Shore controls its destiny for a district title with four games left in the regular season.
“They always get to us in the first quarter,” said North Shore coach Allison Campbell. “They come out and try to get to you early. We had to equal them out in the first quarter and really come out hard to start the game. That’s what we did.” “I wasn’t surprised at all,” Summer Creek coach Carlesa Dixon said of her team's effort to get back into the game. “I know what my girls are capable of, and I wish we could have capitalized on that run even more so we could open the game up a little bit more.”
