North Ridgeville resident Frank Toth was appointed to fulfill the remainder of the Ward 2 city council term that was open after the passing of Dennis Boose in August.
“I’d like to thank each one of them for applying for the position and for your willingness to serve the city,” Jacobs said. “It was a difficult choice, there were many qualified candidates.” Toth also noted that he hopes to assist city council in making decisions which will not only benefit the residents of Ward 2, but the city as a whole.
“We are at an exciting time in our city’s history, and I am proud to serve its residents,” said Toth., Bob Holub was named by the Central Committee of the North Ridgeville Democratic Party to run as the Democratic nominee for the Ward 2 council seat. He will face Eric Todd Shaffer in the Nov. 7 election. Boose was on the ballot before his passing in August.The Avon Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 17 in the Orchid Room at Miller Nature Preserve, 2739 Center Road.
