SEOUL – North Korea on Tuesday denounced the annual military drills between the United States and South Korea, warning of a “thermonuclear war” overat Camp David.
In a commentary carried by the KCNA news agency, North Korea said the summit between the US, South Korea and Japan at the Camp David presidential retreat on Friday was aimed at formulating a “nuclear war provocation”. In the first standalone meeting between the leaders of the US, South Korea and Japan, the three countries agreed to deepen military and economic cooperation as they seek to project unity in the face of China’s growing power and the North’s nuclear threats.
